Spicy pear apple and candied pecan salad

Serves 8

  • Salad
  • 2/3 c. dried, tart cherries soaked in 1 cup of hot water, softened, and drain.
  • 2/3 c. mayonnaise .
  • 1/4 c. sour cream
  • 3 T. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 T. sugar
  • 1 t. cinnamon or to taste
  • 3 lg. Bartlett pears, washed, cored, cut into .-inch dice
  • 3 Granny Smith apples, washed, cored, cut into .-inch dice
  • 1 1/3 c. sm. diced celery
  • 1 1/3 c. halved, red seedless grapes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 c. candied pecan halves
  • In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon. Add the pears, apples, celery, grapes, and cherries; combine. Season with salt and pepper. Place in a serving dish and top with the candied pecan halves.
